In general the larger or heavier the accelerometer sensor you are using the more holding or pull force in pounds (lbs) you will need. The shape of the Accelerometer Magnet needs to be selected based on what you are mounting to. Two pole magnets are best for curved or round surfaces such as bearing housings although they also work on flat surfaces. Flat magnetic bases provide the best results but should only be used on flat surfaces such as ferrous accelerometer pads or especially prepared flat areas such as our \u003ca href=\"http:\/\/www.reliabilitydirectstore.com\/product-p\/cmcp200.htm\" target=\"_self\" title=\"CMCP200 Series Mounting Pads\"\u003eCMCP200 Series Mounting Pads\u003c\/a\u003e. The mounting thread or integral stud is selected based on the accelerometer you are using. Using magnetic bases reduces your accelerometers mounted resonance frequency.
